Although Bollywood star going to Hollywood for playing one role or the other is not something unheard of but, for a Kannadiga actor to make inroads to the Hollywood is something to make all the Kannadiga society and the local film industry rejoice in pride.

According to the reports from several sources from the Sandalwood, Sudeep has given a nod to play a marshal in Eddie Arya’s sci-fi thriller Risen, which is going on floors shortly. While this signing marks the first time in the history of Kannada cinema that a Kannadiga actor will be casted in a Hollywood film, Sudeep considers this signing to be a historical and interesting chapter in his life.

Sudeep is more excited is the prospect of him working in a yet to be titled Telugu film, in which he has been given the nod by the producers to act along with Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi and Bollywood’s one of the most celebrated veteran actors, Amitabh Bachchan. The story of the movie will chronicle the tale of one of the first freedom fighter of India and interestingly the story of this movie emerged through Tollywood sources, shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a postal stamp that freedom fighter.

Surender Reddy is all set to direct the movie from the helmer’s chair, while the music of the film is going to be composed by AR Rahman. This film will also mark the directorial debut of Surender Reddy, who is popular for his work in penned work in Race, Gurram and Kick.
