Harish Sherigar is a Dubai based entrepreneur who moved to Mangaluru to Dubai almost three decades back. He has turned producer with Kodlu Ramakrishna’s ‘March 22′ which is all set to release this week in theatres. Harish has produced the film under his own banner ACME Movies International. Talking about why he decided to become a producer, Harish said, “I’ve been friends with Ramakrishna for years and he often suggested that I should make Kannada films. I’d been putting it aside. But when he spoke to me about March 22, I thought it was a good film to begin the journey.”

He further said that he wanted to make a film with a valuable message which could provide inspiration to the society as a whole while entertaining the audiences. Harish has also played a character in the film. Talking about acting he said that his character is that of the chief minister in the story and he has also lent his voice to one of the songs. Talking about singing, he said that he gave his voice even though he isn’t a trained singer and only sings as a hobby. He confessed that he is a fan of Kishore Kumar and when he sang for the film, it was decided that the song will be kept if the music director likes it, and hopefully he liked it and the song was retained for the film. Talking as a producer he said that he would want his banner to produce socially relevant films over the course of time.
